How does divorce impact kids? In class, there were more than half the students whose parents have been divorced. Divorce has become more common and common throughout time. I would like to share my experience and how my parent's divorce has impacted my life. As I have mentioned in my previous blogs about the story and what happened I will go into more detail on my life and what I struggle with having a combined family. I am scared to commit and get married. I will commit and rely on someone but when the question of getting married comes up I shut it down quickly. I think I do this because I am just nervous about getting a divorce. My brother has also gone through a divorce and it's not fun. So I have been super picky and questioned every little detail. You'll eat your words. Parenting is a big topic in our family. I am the youngest of six with two nieces and two nephews with one on the way here shortly. I love them all dearly they call me Telli. It is super hard not to judge other people and their parenting skills when their kid is screaming in Walmart or running out in the street. Trust me I have seen some crazy situations where the parent is not parenting, or the kid controls the parent. Nowadays you can't go somewhere without hearing a kid break down crying throwing a fit yelling you know the usual. Why is that? Finance is a big topic related to marriage. 80% of divorces result because of financial problems or issues. My mom has taught me a lot about money and her experience with finances. My mom works for my grandpa she is a bookkeeper of taxes, businesses, farms, and other equipment. My grandpa was a CPA but now is retired and still is a commercial farmer.
